Parents and caregivers of children and young adults with special needs are invited to join us for an educational and supportive group to share resources and voice concerns in a non-threatening, supportive environment. Your child does not have to have a formal diagnosis. The group will be facilitated by trained parents of the Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative.

Cost: FREE
Second Monday of the month 6:30 - 8:30 pm
March 10, April7, May 12, June 9, July 14 and August 11.

Crisis Prevention Workshop – “How to Handle a Mental Health Crisis: A Parent’s Guide”

Dealing with a child's mental health crisis can be a frightening experience. Learn about the services and supports that are available to families in crisis. Speakers from Child Crisis, Brooklyn Park Police and NAMI Hennepin will help families learn about how to respond to emergencies and how to avoid future crises. Hosted by the Parent Catalyst Leadership Group (PCLG) of the Hennepin County Children’s Mental Health Collaborative.
