The Sabes Jewish Community Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota will host the 2008 JCC Maccabi ArtsFest August 17 – 22, 2008. Over 350 Jewish teens entering grades 8 through 12, representing over 50 from the United States, Canada and abroad will attend the five-day festival of performing, visual, and literary arts. The JCC Maccabi ArtsFest is designed to inspire Jewish teenaged artists through a dynamic combination of workshops, performances, exhibitions, recognition of excellence, community service, and social activities. Teens develop their individuality through the medium of artistic expression while strengthening their bonds to their Jewish heritage, community, and Israel.
