clay. Each participant will create ceremonial art objects including, but not limited to, a
tzedakah box and a spice box. Class is for adults.
$30 for both classes
Space is limited; please register with Robyn Awend by May 15 at 952.381.3416

Featuring works by Anita Ophoven and Suzanna Schlesinger
May 7–June 25, 2009
Tychman Shapiro Gallery
Delicate textures and organic shapes come together in this exhibit of intricately crafted sculptures and precisely controlled drawings.
Small scale ceramic sculptures draw the viewer in to Suzanna Schlesinger work, encouraging the intimate examination of each piece. Her work focuses on the duality of the inner and outer, of dry and wet, colorless and vivid. Accompanying these sculptures is Anita Ophoven’s use of colored pencil on paper to create her meticulously rendered drawings. Often inspired by mundane objects, her work explores the somewhat uneasy place between realism and abstraction.
