Staff in Training (SIT)
Grades 7–9
Do you love camp? Have you always wanted to work with children? Are you hoping to further develop your leadership skills? Camp Olami has the program for you. Participants will work closely with a group or specialist to learn what it takes to be a full fledged camp staff member. SITs will learn about being a role model to campers, leadership skills, tools for working with children and peers, and so much more. Each day SITs will spend time as a group furthering their camp staff and leadership skills. Every teen will also be assigned to work in a group or in a specialty area to prepare them for future roles as Camp Olami staff members.

“To make a long story short, I loved ArtsFest!!! For the first time in my life I didn't feel the rush of relief after performing, but as I walked off the stage after my last act, a rush of sadness came over me. I wanted to perform over and over again. I didn't want ArtsFest to end and didn't want to have to depart from my new friends. It was not a competition, it was just a bunch of kids coming to meet people, learn, and have fun. I already miss ArtsFest and cannot
wait for next year!”

“My favorite part was when my band's original came together and it sounded perfect, learning the "big riff" of Stevie Wonder's Sir Duke, the final show, making endless amounts of new friends, the first day, second, third, fourth and fifth days, all-night rock band tournaments with room-mates and host family, the final show, evening activities, inside jokes, basically the entire week was fantastic.”

JCC Maccabi Games 2010
The JCC Maccabi Games® is an Olympic-style sports event held in multiple communities each summer in North America since 1982 and is the largest organized sports program for Jewish teens in the world. In addition to sports, athletes experience home hospitality, help other people through communityservice projects in Day of Caring and Sharing, get a taste of Israel at Hang Time and meet Jewish teens from around the world.
This summer "Team St. Paul" (sponsored by the St. Paul JCC and Sabes JCC) will be participating in the 2009 JCC Maccabi Games® in Omaha, Nebraska, August 1–6. The delegation, which has been taking part in the Games for the past 20 years, will consist of 30 athletes competing in some of the following sports: boys and girls basketball, boys and girls soccer, baseball, tennis, swimming, dance, golf, bowling, and table tennis. Teens, ages 13 to 16 (as of August 1, 2009) are eligible to try out for the team.
