While maintaining our commitment to youth and family programming, the JCC is pleased to offer a variety of programs and activities which are meant to stimulate the mind, body and soul of adult JCC members and the adult community. JCC 40's & 50's
Singles and couples can share their vitality together. Discuss issues of interest and importance to you, learn new skills, explore exciting topics and rediscover the pleasures of life. Participate in dynamic, innovative programs in Cultural Arts, Health & Fitness and other areas designed to spark interest in the active lives of adults in their 40's and 50's. Help build your JCC of the future and create a shared experience with your peers. Join us for a focus group meeting for all of those interested.
JCC ASSOCIATES
The JCC wishes to create a place where adults in their 20's and 30's (both singles and couples) who are committed to building a community for themselves and can support a variety of monthly and quarterly social, recreational, educational and cultural programs and activities.
In addition, the JCC will be creating a stronger connection to the Twin Cities Jewish Singles Collaborative, cofounded and sponsored by the JCC. With offices at the Jewish Community Relations Council, the collaborative is designed to reach out and create points of entry into the Jewish community for the single Jewish population in the Twin Cities.
GAY, LESBIAN, BISEXUAL and TRANSGENDER JEWS
In fulfilling the JCC's mission to "'build a sense of community and enrich the lives of Jews..." we will be building on the years of hard work and success of many Jewish individuals, by creating a home for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Jews. Join the JCC for special holiday celebrations and monthly programs that feature intellectual, cultural and social activities. The JCC welcomes your assistance in planning these events and looks forward to your participation in all JCC programs. We will be holding an information and planning meeting this fall.
VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Give a little, get back a lot. There is no warmer feeling than volunteering for a worthy cause. An important part of the JCC's role in building community is to serve as a resource, directing people to agencies that need them. The JCC can match interested individuals and groups with ongoing and seasonal volunteer programs. Choose volunteer opportunities that are right for you. Look for information over the next few months about which volunteer projects members of the JCC community can participate in.
JUDIASM AS A WAY OF LIFE
There are many ways to live one's life as a Jew and explore Judaism's rich traditions and texts. The JCC will provide opportunities to study, experience our tradition and find spiritual sustenance within Judaism and to explore the Jewish identity. Join us for the following programs. HEBREW LANGUAGE
Whether it's learning the Hebrew Alef-Bet, learning how to conduct simple conversations, understanding modern Hebrew or preparing for a trip to Israel, join the JCC Hebrew language program in either Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced levels. Classes are forming for the the fall. Contact
