Teen Travel – Wisconsin Dells
August 11-15
Looking for an adventure? The Sabes JCC has exactly what you need. New this year, we are headed off to the Wisconsin Dells for a week of fun. We’ll leave from the Sabes JCC on Monday, stay at the JCC of Chicago’s Camp Chi for the week, and return on Friday afternoon. During the week we explore the Dells visiting water parks, museums and more. We will use the facilities of Camp Chi including their pool, lake, boating, waterskiing, ropes course and sports facilities. Don’t miss out on this one-of-a-kind trip!

Staff In Training (SIT)
Do you love camp? Have you always wanted to work with children? Are you hoping to further develop your leadership skills? At Camp Olami, we are introducing SITs into camp. Participants will work closely with a group or specialist to learn what it takes to be a full fledged camp staff member. SITs will learn about being a role model for campers, leadership skills, tools for working with children and peers, and so much more. Every teen will also be assigned to work in a group or in a specialty area to prepare them for future roles as Camp Olami staff members.

SITs can work one or both sessions. Teens will either receive a stipend of $5 for every full day worked or can receive community service hours. In addition, each SIT will receive a T-shirt, participate in one overnight per session, and go on a night-trip to Valleyfair, already included in the cost of the program.

Pre-Camp Training June 18-20
**All SITs must be available for pre-camp training and the entire session(s) for which they are applying**
How to Apply
Those interested in applying should complete the camper registration form and check the SIT option. When we receive your registration form, you will be mailed an official camp application. Completed applications are due Friday, February 29, 2008. Camp staff will contact each applicant for an interview in March. Space is limited – placement is not guaranteed. SITs must complete all paperwork (including a physician signed medical form) in order to participate in the program.
Water World
June 16-20, 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Join us this summer for a new program specifically designed for those interested in doing more than just splashing around in the pool (though we will certainly do lots of that). This week-long course features the America Red Cross Guard Start Program. Campers will experience what it takes to become a lifeguard, including stroke work, leadership skills, lifesaving techniques, water safety, and more.
