Pride at the J: Drag Story Hour & Gallery Reception

June 2 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Reception & Community Chuppah • 2–5 PM | Drag Story Hour • 3 PM | Sabes JCC Gallery – June 2nd

Join us for this community-wide art exhibition featuring photographs showcasing the wonderful diversity of the Twin Cities Jewish community. The gallery will be open from 2:00 – 5:00 on June 2nd to enjoy the art exhibition. During story hour from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, we’ll read PJ Library books, work on a variety of pride-related crafts, and enjoy refreshments. Drag story hour is for kids, adults, and families of all ages.

Additionally, J-Pride is working on a community chuppah to be featured on stage for the Pride Shabbat morning service on June 22, and carried in the parade. We need your help to make it a beautiful and communal chuppah, and there will be open time to add your own decoration to this beautiful ritual object.

Light refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.

Parts of this exhibition will also be displayed at the St. Paul JCC Traditions Wall.

For more information, contact Jonathan Gershberg, Twin Cities Jewish Cultural Arts Coordinator at jgershberg@sabesjcc.org or 952-381-3438.
