New expanded group ex schedule
At the Sabes JCC Health & Wellness Center we offer a wide variety of Group Exercise classes to keep your heart pumping, your muscles toned, and your mind refreshed. These classes are complimentary with your membership, now including Mat Pilates and Yoga! Our classes are created to offer you variety in your workout and our instructors are all nationally certified and experienced to make sure each class is an excellent experience. Classes are available to anyone at anytime, no need to register, just drop-in. Non-members can purchase a guest pass to class at the Health & Wellness Desk. Beginners through advanced exercisers can workout side by side because all of our Group Exericse instructors will give intensity options throughout every class varying from Level 1 to Level 4 to make sure the workout is right for all participants. Comfortable workout clothes, the right shoes and a bottle of water will help you gear up for a great class!

Krav Maga
Krav Maga translates to 'contact combat' from Hebrew and is the official self-defense and close-quarter combat system for the Israeli Defense Forces. It has already been taught to hundreds of law enforcement agencies and thousands of civilians in the United States becaue it is a simple, effective self-defense system that emphasizes instinctive movements, practical techniques and realistic training scenarios. Krav Maga classes are offered at the JCC, taught by Krav Maga Worldwide certified instructors, Tuesdays at 8-9 pm and Saturdays 9:15-10:15 am. Pilates Reformer Classes
The Sabes JCC Pilates Studio features 4 Pilates Reformers. The Reformer enables you to perform movements in a gravity-reduced environment, which allows you to isolate core muscles and overcome physical limitations. Instead of using weights, the Reformer uses spring resistance, which can be adjusted for individuals with a broad spectrum of fitness levels, injuries, and technical proficiencies. The Reformer also utilizes straps and platforms where you lie, sit, kneel or stand, allowing you to work from your core. The Reformer allows the certified Pilates trainer to adjust movements to maximize benefits, as well as change the program to keep you challenged.
