Committees
Dozens of volunteers will help plan the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest in Minneapolis.  A committee structure has been designed to ensure that everyone involved will have a rewarding experience.  To become involved in a committee contact the Chair of the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest Minneapolis, Danna Mirviss, at [email protected]   Committees are as follows:

Steering Committee
Committee Goal:  to oversee all aspects of planning the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest Minneapolis
Liaison with the Board, determine theme, oversee all subcommittees, raise community awareness of ArtsFes

Fundraising Committee
Committee Goal:  To raise contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations
Sponsorships, corporate and foundation grants, individual donations

Local Host Committee
Committee Goal:  To ensure that areas of ArtsFest have sufficient human resources to successfully achieve their goals
Housing, volunteer recruitment, local host family guidebook, recruitment of teen participants
Check-in procedures during arrival to Minneapolis

Marketing
Committee Goal:  To promote the 2008 JCC Maccabi ArtsFest throughout the State of Minnesota, ensuring high participation in and attendance at various ArtsFest events
Design marketing and communication strategies, oversee website, photography, video, signage

Programming Committee
Committee Goal:  To ensure that the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest Minneapolis has the highest quality programming for every young participant
Artistic programming, Day of Caring and Sharing, evening activities

Transportation, Logistics and Communications (TLC) Committee
Committee Goal:  To provide logistical support to program activities prior to and during ArtsFest
Transportation, security, hotel venues, food and beverage,

Opening /Closing Events Committee
Committee Goal:  To plan events before, during and after ArtsFest
Non-arts programming at opening and closing events, VIP receptions

Local Delegation Committee
Committee Goal:  To recruit local teen artists to participate in the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest Minneapolis.
Oversee the Teen Advisory Task Force

Volunteer Committee
The volunteer committee is responsible for recruiting, assiging and recognizing volunteers who help make the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest happen. Volunteers can choose from a variety of areas in which to work such as planning events, helping with transportation or food service, or hosting a visiting teen artist.
