Eligibility

To participate in JCC Maccabi ArtsFest each participant must be:

 

:: Jewish, which is defined as follows:

One of the participant's parents is Jewish and the participant is being raised Jewish or is a Jew by choice and is being raised Jewish. In the spirit of ArtsFest, if the parent or child does not believe that they are Jewish on a year round basis then the child should not participate in JCC Maccabi ArtsFest.


:: Entering grades 8-12

This refers to the grade the artist is entering following the summer for which the teen is registering for ArtsFest.

:: Able to demonstrate artistic ability in one of the specialty areas

An audition/interview may be necessary to share the participant's ability in an arts specialty area.

:: Registered with a delegation at a local JCC

Those interested in participating in the JCC Maccabi ArtsFest should contact a youth worker at their local Jewish Community Center, or contact Alex Locke at the Sabes JCC in Minneapolis at [email protected] for further information about becoming involved in the 2008 JCC Maccabi ArtsFest Minneapolis!
