I've Never Heard of JCC Maccabi ArtsFest. What is it?

In an attempt to engage creative teens in Jewish community, JCC Association has initiated a spectacular week-long summer program for teens modeled after its successful JCC Maccabi Games®. A weeklong artistic event, ArtsFest was designed to inspire creative teens through a combination of workshops, performances, exhibitions, and social activities.
 
The week’s highlights include (subject to change):
• Daily master classes, workshops and mentoring of works-in-progress with professional artists-in-residence
• Instrumental and vocal ensemble performances, with exceptional talent showcased
• Art exhibitions
• Evening DJ Party
• Jewish learning and Israel awareness
• Day of Caring and Sharing
• Gala finale Art Festival, open to the public
• AND MORE!!!


Where is ArtsFest Being Held?
JCC Maccabi ArtsFest will be held at the Sabes Jewish Community Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota August 17 -22, 2008. The JCC Maccabi ArtsFest Minneapolis will take advantage of the vibrant arts community in the Twin Cities, using some of the finest performing and visual art venues in the area.

Who Will Attend?
Jewish teens from diverse backgrounds from all over world.  Possibly including Israel and the former Soviet Union.
