SUMMER QUEST
Entering grades 3–6 (and up to grade 8 on wet 'n wild quests)
What can you explore in one week, you ask? Anything and everything! We’ve got activities galore—and truly something for everyone—in this summer’s specialty week-long camps. Return to favorites from the past or participate in brand new offerings this summer. NEW THIS YEAR! Summer Quest is now offering both half and full day options. Those quests noted with an asterisk (*) offer both options. Full day fees are only $50 more for the entire week! Summer Quest half-day campers will join Camp Olami for flag pole at 9 am before breaking off to explore their Quest specialties. Full day campers will have a lunch break at 12:30 pm and then swim and enjoy additional specialty areas in the afternoon. The day will come to a finish with a snack and closing flagpole traditions.

JUNE 20-24
Fishing (NEW)*
Come throw a line for your own catch of the day. This camp is for anyone who loves to fish—beginners are always welcome. Learn about different types of lures and bait and, following instruction, participants will have a hands-on fishing experience.
Color Splash!*
A dot here, a dab there, a few brushstrokes, and voila! You have a masterpiece comparable to the Mona Lisa or Monet’s Water Lillies. But how do you get things to look three-dimensional? How do you mix the color orange? You will discover the magical world of painting at this camp.
Those brushstrokes will turn into everything from people and animals to landscapes and shoes as we learn how to make paint do cool things on the canvas. We will learn different painting techniques using tempera, watercolors, and more. You’ll create works of that will make you proud!
June 27-July 1
Laughter Yoga (NEW)*
Increase your happiness, build your immune system and get oxygenated! Spend the week with a laughter yoga instructor and friends by laughing the morning away. Each day will also be spent with a traditional yoga instructor where campers will learn dynamic movements, postures and breathing exercises.
Comic Book Creations*
Create the next hit comic book using your own made-up super heroes and crazy characters. Learn to sketch characters, create an interesting storyline, and the importance of sequencing and story-boarding. As we practice our drawing, inking, and coloring skills, we’ll craft scenes using textures and colors-just like the pros.
JULY 5-8
Wet ‘n Wild 1
Can’t get enough of the local water parks? You bring the sunscreen and we’ll provide the fun. Make a splash as we visit a different water park or beach each day. Don’t forget your swimsuit and towel for a “wet ‘n wild” good time!

JULY 11-15
Fencing*
Fencing is serious fun and has grown to become one of the most popular sports for children. This camp covers basic blade actions and the conduct of a fencing bout with an in class tournament on the last day. All equipment is provided.
Comedy Sportz*
Whether you want to become an improv performer or just want to have fun and learn to think on your feet, this camp is the perfect place for you. We will take you through the basics of ComedySportz-style improv—spontaneity, team work and lots of fun! Each day we’ll play different improv games, learn exercises in trust, spontaneity, scene building, accepting and conquering fears and have a ton of fun in the process. A final day performance for your family will show off what you learned!
JULY 18-22
NFL Flag Football*
This outdoor camp is designed to teach kids the basics of football including throwing, catching, de-flagging, defensive positioning, sportsmanship, playing positions, and rules of the game. Build on last summer’S skills or start from the basics.
Which Way to Broadway (NEW)*
Sing, dance, and act your way into the spotlight! This camp is designed to help you develop characters, learn vocal projection, prepare songs, and dance like a star. We’ll work on scenes from your favorite musicals to help you hone your skills. Put on your dance shoes and warm up your vocal chords, because you’re going to Broadway!

Outdoor Adventures
Back by popular demand! Being outside in the summertime has never been so fun. Campers will join Three Rivers Park District once again and have the chance to participate in a different activity each day such as canoeing, fishing, wall climbing, archery and more!

Wet ‘n Wild 2
Did you miss the first Wet ‘n Wild week? Or did you have so much fun you’d like to join us again? You bring the sunscreen and we’ll provide the fun. Make a splash as we visit awesome water parks each day. Don’t forget your swimsuit and towel for a “wet ‘n wild” good time! Extended to grades 7 and 8.
AUGUST 8-12
Bend, Flex, Move…Dance! (NEW)*
Learn to dance like Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani or Justin Timberlake in this new, energetic quest all about the basics of hip-hop dancing! Hip-hop is a fun and easy style of dance that everyone can do, even if you have no experience. Together we’ll choreograph and perform a hip-hop routine that will have everyone moving to the beat.
Mad Science Red Hot Robots (NEW)*
Join us for a week of fun and learn all about the science of robotics. Discover the science behind gears and how robots use sensors to explore the world around them. Learn about artificial intelligence and build your very own remote controlled TBD OWI Robot.

Learn about and play fun net games from around the world! Experienced staff will introduce your child to soccer, floor hockey, basketball, badminton, and table tennis. Professionals from
various sport backgrounds will join the staff to share their ‘insider knowledge’. Your child will gain an understanding of the world’s net games through a variety of activities including
game play, jersey and equipment design, playing board games and stretching their imaginations by inventing new sports. This is a great way to experience new sports and get a jump start on
the summer!
Crazy Chemistry (Entering grades K-2)
M–F, 1 pm–4 pm

Join Science Explorers as we become crazy chemists! We will use safe chemicals that, when combined, create fun and fascinating results. Learn how molecules can bend, stretch and even bubble through plenty of hands-on exploration. Take home your molecule models, polymers, and more. Be sure to
wear old clothes as we investigate the crazy side of chemistry.

Finding Minnesota 101 (Entering grades K–4)

Come join us for a week of education, adventure, and Minnesota fun! This camp is designed to introduce your child to the wonders of Minnesota, from farm life to wildlife
to technological endeavors. We explore great Minnesota landmarks including Historic Murphy’s Landing, the Bell Museum of Natural History and a factory tour. Each day will
include a field trip and fun activities at the JCC that include swimming, gym time, games and more.

Minnesota Lynx and Timberwolves Camp (Entering grades 3–8)
August 15–19 at the Sabes JCC
M–F, 9 am–2:30 pm

The Minnesota Lynx and Timberwolves will host their annual camp at the Sabes JCC this summer. Their combination of professional camp staff, loyal high school and college players will stress having fun and fundamentals, including games and contests, station drills and shooting instruction.
