Summer Arts workshops for adults - 2015
An inspirational and stimulating series of summer workshops for adults with an emphasis on bridging art and nature with a Jewish twist. Participants will work with renowned local artists in an array of artistic media at cultural sites throughout the Twin Cities. This experience is for anyone who considers themself an artist, arts appreciator, or creative individual who is looking for a unique summer experience!

Wednesdays (Full-day); July 15, 22, 29, & August 5.
COST:
$60 each; or 10% discount for 2 or sessions.

The Spices of Life

LOCATION: Appetite for Change (North Side, Minneapolis)
A culinary adventure from farm to table with local chefs. Learn how Jewish values and ingredients get blended, folded and baked in. Gain a richer understanding of food stewardship in the community through dialogue with local chefs. Includes the creation of a shared meal while expanding your portfolio of recipes and culinary skills.

One With Nature

LOCATION: MN Landscape Arboretum (Chaska)
Explore the arboretum’s vast landscape through an artistic lens. Experience yoga and guided meditation outdoors, create a collaborative nature mandala, and draw/journal from the surrounding environment. Picnic on the terrace. Bring your own lunch or purchase from the Arboretum’s café. Wear layers and comfortable clothing & shoes.

Mysteries of the Mississippi

LOCATION: Mill City Museum (Downtown, Minneapolis)
An art and architecture journey along the Mississippi River, incorporating historical and cultural facts. Documented through onsite photography and shared river stories culminating in an online photo exhibition. Picnic at Gold Medal Park. Bring your own lunch or purchase from the Mill City Café. Wear layers and comfortable clothing & shoes for walking (up to2 miles). Bring your camera or cell phones with camera capabilities.

Skin & Bones and Everything In Between

LOCATION: The Marsh (Minnetonka)
Discover the stories of our bodies, inside and out. Incorporates storytelling and sharing while exploring the layers that compose who we are. Includes the creation of your own gratitude vessel using recycled materials. Picnic on the Terrace. Lunch must be purchased from the Marsh Cafe.
