Do you love camp? Summer at the JCC offers teens the opportunity to be with friends and have a blast! We have something for everyone – arts, sports and the opportunity to develop your leadership skills in a fun and supportive summer camp environment.
Staff in Training - S.I.T. (Grades 7–9)
Have you always wanted to work with children? Are you hoping to further develop your leadership skills? Camp Olami has the program for you. Participants will work closely with a group to learn what it takes to be a full-fledged camp staff member. SITs will learn about being a role model to campers, leadership skills, tools for working with children and peers, and so much more. SITs will spend time as a group furthering their staff and leadership skills. Every teen will also be assigned to work in a group to prepare them for future roles as Camp Olami staff members.
All SIT candidates must fill out an additional application, provide two references and participate in a pre-camp training.
SIT Options:
Session 1: June 20–July 17
Session 2: July 18–August 12
SITs can work one or both sessions. Teens will either receive a stipend of $5 for every full day worked or can receive community service hours. In addition, each SIT will receive a T-shirt and have one overnight per session. SPACE IS LIMITED

**All SITs must be available for the entire session and pre-camp training on Sunday, June 5th.
JCC Maccabi Games® and ArtsFest® 2016

JCC Maccabi ArtsFest,® began in 2006 in Baltimore, MD, and is a week-long arts experience for Jewish teens. It features home hospitality, includes opening and closing events, workshops, performances, exhibits, community service, and social activities, while strengthing the bonds to Jewish heritage and Israel. TEAM MINNESOTA brings together Jewish teens from all over the state for this once in a lifetime opportunity!
Teens, ages 13 to 17 (as of July 31, 2016) are eligible to participate.

JCC Maccabi Games® is an Olympic-style sports event held in multiple communities each summer in North America since 1982 and is the largest organized sports program for Jewish teens in the world. Additionally, athletes experience home hospitality, community-service projects (Day of Caring & Sharing), and meet Jewish teens from around the world.
TEAM MINNESOTA, sponsored by the St. Paul JCC and Sabes JCC, will be participating in the 2016 JCC Maccabi Games.® The delegation, which has been participating for the past 20 years, will consist of athletes competing in sports such as basketball, soccer, lacrosse, swimming, dance, and table tennis.
Teens, ages 13 to 16 (as of July 31, 2016) are eligible to try out for the team.
