Reopening The JCC
Outdoor Pool

As always, it is our goal at the Sabes JCC to create a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.  Please read the protocols and procedures below so that you know what to expect.  While things may feel different, our care for you remains the same.



Operating Hours

NOTICE: These current hours will be in effect until September 6, 2020. September 7 (Labor Day) the outdoor pool will be open from 9:30 AM – 1:30 PM.  Beginning September 8, 2020 the outdoor pool will ONLY be open on Saturdays and Sundays through the month of September.

Monday – Thursday 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Friday 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Saturday & Sunday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

What Will Be Available


    • Reservations are required for lap swim
    • Reservations are NOT required for recreational swim
    • The JCC reserves the right to limit lap swim to 50 minutes in order to accommodate a high volume of requests
    • Habitual cancellations for lap swim reservation may result in a temporary suspension on your ability to make a reservation for lap swim

What Is Not Available

  • Towel service
  • Concession stand
  • Slide
  • Diving board
  • Locker rooms; opening (with limited capacity) on September 8, 2020
  • Loaner equipment (goggles, noodles, etc.)

Entering the Pool

  • Bring your JCC membership card for ID verification
  • Entry to the pool will be through outdoor pool gate only; there will be no entry to the pool through the building
  • Members should park at the east entrance of the building and walk past the sport court to the outdoor pool gate
  • You will be greeted and checked in by a JCC aquatic staff member

Locker Rooms

  • The outdoor pool bathrooms with changing areas will be open
  • The indoor locker rooms are closed until September 8, 2020

Cleaning Protocols

  • Facility will be deep cleaned and disinfected prior to opening
  • Continuous disinfection of high-touch surfaces throughout the pool area
  • Hours adjusted to allow for deeper cleaning
  • Drinking fountains turned off; please bring personal water bottles filled

Face Masks

  • When outdoors, everyone over the age of 6 is required to wear a mask if you are unable to follow 6ft social distancing guidelines.
